Filipino VJ Amanda Griffin, gathers signatures for the Greenpeace clean energy campaign at a mall in Manila.
Amanda has given a lot of her time for this campaign. She braved the Saturday mall crowd to ask people to sign a petition to save the climate, she appeared in her TV show, F, wearing a Greenpeace shirt, and she will be joining Greenpeace aboard the Rainbow Warrior to Tubbataha at the end of the month to bear witness to what is at stake if climate change worsens.
“I’m a great lover of the ocean. Climate change is killing off coral reefs, and that’s pretty much irreversible,” says Amanda who is an avid diver and part owner of swimwear boutique Tabu, “I chose to support Greenpeace because they’re very proactive. Hopefully one by one people will sit up and take notice.”
It wasn't hard to convince the smart and sexy Amanda Griffin, top model, host and VJ, to support the Greenpeace climate change campaign. Amanda, who has been in the limelight since age 12, was only too happy to give her time to take action for the environment. “I want to put out the message that it’s not too late to start doing something,” she explains, “Everything that every person does helps no matter how small it is.”
